The name ‘Al Passo’ comes from the passage through the forest on the estate where this wine is made and where the local landlords hunted with birds of prey. This wine takes the name as it is the most traditional of the estate, with Sangiovese as the major grape variety it reflects the character of the region and the Merlot adds a modern twist.
