Andrea’s great respect for la Stoppa and his friendship with Giulio Armani gave him the energy to start doing his own wines.
In 2006, he planted a 4 hectares new vineyard divided in Malvasia di Candia Aromatica, Barbera and Bonarda. Andrea does not use any pesticides, only sulfur and copper.
Vino del Poggio’s fermentation happens with long maceration in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged for one year in barrels and for another year in the bottle.
