True Beaujolais from a small, local producer. Soft and juicy Gamay with the flavours of summer fruits. One of those reds you can serve slightly cool – perfect summer drinking. The ripe summer fruit flavours excel with delicatessen meats. The Perrin family have been making wine for four centuries at their rural idyll near Ternand in southern Beaujolais. Their vineyards (scene of a medieval conflict involving 1000 men) spread out in a south-facing amphitheatre of flaking granite. Bernard Perrin remains modest despite his wines often being voted ‘Best of the Vintage’.
