Château du Cèdre, a small family owned and run estate, is World famous for its Malbec wines. Now in the hands of the second generation – Pascal and Jean-Marc Verhaeghe.

The vineyard is certified organic. Starting in the early 1990s, they banned all herbicides from the vineyards and stopped using chemical spraying agents in 2002. This really improved the quality of their grapes and encouraged them to ask for organic certification in 2009. They made their first certified organic wine in 2012.
