Scholtes – Schulter Schluss 19′

Weingut Scholtes is a family-run winery with more than 300 years of successful winemaking tradition. The estate is located in the small village of Minheim, with the vines planted on the fertile, clay shale, gently hill around the town. All the vineyards are farmed organically, based on close observation and a lot of work done by hand. As a family business, they take matters into their own hands. This creates very personal wines and crémants with individual handwriting.

Today, the new generation, Christian, provides new impetus with his young ideas, while his father, Hans-Peter contributes his longstanding experience to the production. Together, they pursue one goal: to become better and better.

Schulter Schluss literally means “Shoulder to Shoulder” and represents this equal blend of two red varieties; Regent, a pest resiliant variety mostly planted in Germany, and Spätburgunder, German name for Pinot Noir.

Expect aromas of red berries, cherries and blackcurrants, followed by a full and soft palate with an slight fruit sweetness finish.
