Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc Selection

£79.95

Marlborough is New Zealand’s most important wine region by far. Situated at the northeastern tip of the South Island, this dry, sunny region is home to more than 500 growers and produces more than three-quarters of all New Zealand wine. It is particularly famous for its pungent, zesty white wines made from the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety, which dominates the Marlborough vineyards.

Contents of case:

1 x Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc – All the Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc grapes were sourced from estate and grower vineyards located in the Rapaura, Fairhall, Renwick and Brancott sub-regions of the Wairau Valley. Grapes were de-stemmed and transferred straight to tank presses within hours of picking giving this extraordinary wine its charm and character.

1 x Dog Point Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc – A zingy and refreshing dry white wine with melon, lemon citrus, gooseberry, elderflower and cut grass notes on the nose; green apple, lemon citrus and gooseberry notes on the palate, with a lovely lemon sherbet finish. Easy drinking and will pair well with fish, shellfish, salads, white meats and soft cheeses.

1 x Fairfields Sauvignon Blanc – A zingy, refreshing, classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with stone fruit, gooseberry and herbaceous notes. Drinks well on its own, or pairs nicely with white meats, fish, shellfish, salads or mild cheeses.

1 x Gravel and Loam Sauvignon Blanc – A zingy refreshing dry white wine with gooseberry, herbs, melon and lime citrus notes on the nose and the palate. Easy drinking, and pairs well with fish, especially salmon and tuna, goats cheese and white meats.

1 x Kuki Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc – Lifted notes of fresh grapefruit and tropical fruits on the nose leading to a fresh palate with concentrated fruit flavours and a mouth-watering finish. Pairs particularly well with spicy seafood laksa with coriander.

1 x The Shy Albatross Sauvignon Blanc – A bone dry wine, so restrained as to appear at first as a Loire Sauvignon but then the hints appear of tropical fruit and different spices, and a biting acidity that acts as a really good palate cleanser. The bouquet showcases tropical melon, gooseberry and citrus aroma that transfer to a well-structured palate of passionfruit and herbs. The finish is refreshing and long lasting. Pairs well with Chicken, Fish, Fish terrines, Scallops, Seafood and Squid.
