Marcalberto – Alta Langa Millesimato 2016

Pietro, a wine expert, founded the Marcalberto winery in 1993 when he bought an 1850s estate set among rolling hills in Piedmont. His sons Marco and Alberto have inherited the winery as well as their father’s love and knowledge of wine. Located in the comunes of Colosso, Cossano Belbo and Santa Stefano Belbo, their altitudes range from 300 to 550 meters above sea level with chalky soil.
The Alta Langa is fermented in French oak barrels. The sparkling wine is softly pressed and fermented in old wood barrels for seven months. The result of this process is a natural cleanness – it is never filtered or clarified.
