In the hills of the beautiful region Orco Feglino lie the twenty-nine sloped terraces facing south-west towards the city. The rolling landscape is full of chestnut, pine, oak and ash trees, creating a perfect environment for growing the the local Lumassina grape variety which is so indigenous to the region.
To give the wine more complexity, the grapes are harvested at different moments in the ripening process. With the maceration and fermentation all done naturally, the wine is aged in oak barrels for 9-11 months before bottled in late spring
The Lumassina has a golden colour with the nose hinting flint and and yellow golds, elderberry and orange blossom and notes of chestnut honey and pear. On the palate the wine is fresh and fruity with good acidity. Enjoy it with white meat, fish, pasta – or just on its own.
